Taking Care of Toe Pain
| Content One |
|---|
Since your toes have bones, joints, ligaments, nerves, muscles and blood vessels, they are vulnerable to many kinds of pain from many areas. ![]()
Causes of toe pain include:
If you are a runner, than you are likely to experience toe pain. If this is happening to you while you are running the problem may be caused by the terrain on which you are running. In addition, you may want to check you running shoes. If the shoes you are running in are worn out, this may cause your feet to adjust improperly in the shoe and can lead toe pain. Runners usually experience toe pain in the middle toe. There are bones that run from your toe joints to your arch. These bones are called the metatarsal bones and there are five metatarsal bones corresponding to each toe. During any activity, such as running or jumping, the weight of your body transfers to the metatarsal bones and to the toes. If you change your activities or the way you do them, the pressure changes and can lead to toe pain. In addition to changing your activities, ill fitting shoes and being overweight can also cause problems in the metatarsal bones and lead to toe pain. The shape of your foot, (i.e. a high arch) can also put more pressure on the metatarsal bones. If your second toe is longer than your big toe, this too can cause toe pain.

I cannot believe the difference in just the last 2 weeks! I have them on as I type this so I can give you a glimpse of the feeling. They are soft and pliable, yet still strong enough. I highly recommend these for anyone who has hammer toes, like me, or other specific foot problems, or even if your feet are just “tired” all the time. It feels like a full body massage. Great product!
