This simple exercise will stretch all the muscles in your back, sides and arms. Even if you pay attention to your posture, you may find yourself sinking back into a hunched position, which can make your back ache.
Here's how you do it:
Seated or standing, lace your fingers together and stretch them up towards the ceiling.
Take a deep breath as you stretch up as high as you can, then exhale and open your arms, sweeping them back down. You can also take your arms to either side to deepen the stretch down the sides of your torso. Repeat for ten reps.
